Dr. Bob a New Orleans self-taught folk artist, has made the phrase “Be Nice or Leave” as much a part of his identity as the found objects he transforms into his artwork. Prolific and authentic, a visit to his gallery you’ll find his paintings and assembled art sculptures. His figures include creatures from the bayou, the characters of the Quarter, and the spirits and demons of the Crescent City.
Stop by his studio in Bywater to see finished pieces, see works in progress, and to meet the man himself. We purchase several pieces and get to hear the story behind each by the man himself and have a guided tour of the studio!
